here I sit

my desk- Sitzenkirch, DE, originally uploaded by Rob Carey2.

November 5, 2010. Today was parent-teacher conference day at our school, and I get to work with some of the greatest families in the world. I scheduled a break in the middle of my day for lunch and a sketch, so I decided to just stay in my classroom and draw my workspace. My view is very colorful these days, but I wasn't able to draw the new calves that have been jumping around the field out my windows this week.

A Clean Well Lighted Place .... needs a drawing on the wall above the screen! ;v)

I agree- can you see that brown thing there behind the computer, leaning under my coffee cup? That's going up on the wall- it's a gift from one of my students from India- a beautiful, hand carved wooden scene. I just haven't hung up it yet.

Teacher desks look the same all over the world. It could have been my wives desk (she teaches as well)!

thanks, Katherine and Rene. I didn't know your wife taught school. What level?

Rene Fijten said...

Don't know the definitions of level but she teaches to 10 and 11 year old children (who consider themselves halfwaygrownups).

Ah, I teach exactly the same!
