falling color

Kandern, DE

November 2, 2011. I couldn't let the fall go by without trying to capture some of the color around me. This particular tree is one we walk by every day, sometimes several times a day. Turn left at those houses and I'm home.

Fantastic image! Is the weather as beautiful there as here?

i have to think.....is it August-Macke? I think so. Unless you've moved since we left town..... Yup, it must be!

Yes, the weather has been wonderful, and at times windy, which makes it really feel like fall. I love it.

And, good job on the street name!

Yum! Did you boost the colours a bit in photoshop? Is it watercolour?

Thanks, John. The colors of the scan are about as close to the original as I could get them. However, I have noticed that my drawings look different on different computers I have used. One of the reasons I use Flickr to upload my images is because the images seem to do a good job of retaining the clarity and color of the originals.
